In 2016, I had a vision and a dream: learn to paint and create a line of silk scarves. I went off to Florence, Italy and devoted myself to art. I'm delighted to say, I have finally released my dreams for you to enjoy too....Silk scarves, because beauty is meant to be shared. Feel delicious wrapped in a gorgeous silk scarf. I wanted to hop in to your inbox with a quick update as we launch my new website, and collections. Here's everything you need to know:
The site will be live from Monday 20 April, 2026. As a celebration, you will be gifted a code to use for your purchases from 20 April 2026 - 8 May, 2026. The information regarding that code and its use will be in the email we send out tomorrow.
My new site offers you an immersive experience. You will be able to view and purchase original oil paintings directly from my online gallery; you will be invited to tour my world filled with words, videos and photos and in so doing learn what inspires my art and what my process looks like. You will be able to see and read what collectors say about my art in their homes and hearts, and you will be able to learn about how we can work together to create the perfect painting for your space. As always, you are invited to visit me in my studio and connect with me via email, telephone. I always say my art is slow art and my connections are deep. I am and you are, a high touchpoint person. We like to connect and share and celebrate and be included and include others. My new website and new collections were designed with our type of living in mind: warm, elegant, in process, exploratory, peaceful, nature-filled, beauty seeking, love filled...
For new collectors, the new artful delights have been designed with you in mind, that is to give you a taste of my art. As many of you know, the walls of my studio are adorned with my botanical studies. Visitors have asked me multiple times to sell the originals and while I cannot at this time part with them, we have made them available for you in two sizes: A3 and A4. When you enter the website and online shop you will be taken through a process that is called Drop-Ship. It is streamlined and easy.
The botanical studies are intimate works. There are nine lovely studies; you can decide the size, the number of studies you wish to collect, and the frame you wish to have. Of course, all works can be purchased unframed. The beauty of the botanical studies is they offer you an opportunity to collect multiples and share them around. They are gorgeous, delicate, peaceful pieces that will be bring calm beauty to your office, or that busy corner of your kitchen or den. I love them in bedrooms...they are just divine...
As you noted from the video above, I have designed luxurious silk scarves. The genesis of this came to me in 2016....I was in Florence, Italy, and lived in the Gucci museum. The scarves in the museum transported me. Wearable art was my aspiration and goal. I hope I have achieved this for you. I believe that beauty is not to be reserved for a special occasion - it is something to be lived with, and shared, every day. Each 90cm scarf is created from my original paintings, carrying the visible texture, layered colour, and quiet energy of the work - soft blues, deep winter greens, dusty pinks, and buttered yellows. Designed for the discerning woman, they bring a sense of artistry to even the simplest moments. Below are photos of two of the five scarves...
You may recall from the previous Musings, I released a bundle of six greeting cards with the same botanical designs as the A3 and A4s. These are perfect for gifting and can be purchased online and collected from me at my studio, or you can have them shipped to you. Below is a sample of the cards...
That's it from me and the studio. For now, I wish you a lovely Sunday. I am going to take Louis and Theo on a long walk around the trails in Upper Camp Mountain...butterflies and birds will be in abundance no doubt.
